Given that 36,000 people die per year from regular old non-swine flu, can anybody explain to me why I should give a shit? Pandemic? I’ve got news for you: we’ve already got a flu pandemic, and we have for as long as I’ve been alive. Next?

I’m so tired of the hysteria. People are worrying today because there’s a case in Georgia, apparently? I haven’t even bothered to do any google research on it. I just can’t be bothered to be that scared. Oh, and Declan’s out of school for 2 days and the school nurse actually called today to check on him. I almost had a nervous reaction, thinking OMG are people out with TEH SWINE FLU?! I didn’t ask. More likely people are out afraid of it.

I saw a newspaper today saying that there’s a case in Georgia. My reaction? “Fuck. Now the locals are REALLY going to freak out.” Fortunately, the internet also knows it’s stupid. For example, Do I Have Pig Flu? – click here to check: http://doihavepigflu.com/
